Story
I know, I know, I know. I'm sure I told you I wouldn't do this again, but I can't seem to help myself. Arghhh I really can't, but what I can do is help Shooting Star Children's Hospices by speed walking another marathon. It's not easy, but what I know is hard beyond belief is to be the parent of a child that is at the end of their life.
Did I get your attention at that?
And you know what we are going to ask for now. It's easy, simply click now and Shooting Stars shall collect.
My glorious, wonderful India seems to have inherited the gene that loves a challenge and will be joining to not walk, but run to Shooting Stars. We will arrive exhausted (quite possibly very soggy) but most importantly proud to have committed to raising money for one of the most moving and wonderful charities in existence today.
In the meantime, when I talk about Shooting Stars I will continue to cry. However the sheer joy and animated energy of the wonderful children they have there when we both arrive exhausted, probably soaking wet and filthy is something to really look forward to.
We are being VERY generously sponsored by the fabulous, kind and friendly Stars Gym in Battersea and we are truly grateful for their thoughtfulness and support.
'Shooting Star Children's Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families across Surrey and London.
Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, we are here to make every moment count. We support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.'
