Story
On Saturday 25th May 2024, some of the KRW team will be completing a walking marathon challenge along the Jurassic Coast, with the route taking us from Corfe Castle all the way along the coast to Weymouth. The hilly and uneven terrain is sure to make this a challenge, but one that we are ready to take on.
We are completing this challenge to raise money for the charity ‘Mind Northamptonshire’, a cause that we feel is deeply important, deserves recognition and one that is close to our hearts.
We have specifically picked Mind Northamptonshire as we are keen to raise awareness and support in our local area, as well as promote the amazing support networks that are available in lots of different regions of Northamptonshire. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the global prevalence of anxiety and depression increased by 25%, highlighting the need to be able to get outside and be around other people.
At KRW we believe that mental wellbeing and the welfare of the team is paramount, and strive to put things in place to ensure the team feel safe and supported. In order to create an overall feeling of happiness in the workplace, we consider 3 main areas that are all equally as important as each other:-
1. Physical wellbeing
2. Workplace wellbeing
3. Mental wellbeing
We are using this challenge to highlight point 1, and getting the team involved to show the benefits of being outdoors, moving and talking, all things that can help with our mental wellbeing.
Any donations to this brilliant charity would be greatly appreciated 💙
