Starlit Walk 2023
Campaign by The Rowans Hospice (RCN 299731)
Rowans Hospice Charity is inviting children to take part in a sponsored Starlit Walk of either 1.5 or 3 miles at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard on Thursday, 26 October 2023 to support local Hospice care.

Story

Alba will be taking part in the starlit walk on 26th October in loving memory of her Grandma, who died in 2020 with the care and support of the Rowan's and their hospice at home team.

Rowans Hospice Charity provides palliative and end of life care to the highest quality for those living with a life-limiting illness in Portsmouth and South East Hampshire. Our highly trained teams help to improve quality of life for patients by easing physical symptoms, as well as offering psychological, spiritual and social support to patients, their family and friends. The Charity's care services are provided free of charge, either within our In-patient unit or within the home setting, as well as offering services for day visitors in our Living Well Centre.

Although the Charity receives some statutory support from the government, almost 90% of the money needed to provide our services each year has to be raised through voluntary giving. This would not be achieved without the loyal support from people in our community who generate much-needed income.
