Story
Els died from a deadly glioblastoma in 2020 aged 36, under a year after she was diagnosed.
Two years later, I was shocked to also be diagnosed with a brain tumour. Thanks to the incredible neurology team at St George’s Hospital in London, I have been so fortunate to recover, but sadly that’s the reality for only a minority of those who are diagnosed with a brain tumour. There is so much more that needs to be done to improve the treatment and survival rates.
A group of family and friends are doing the twilight walk both to raise the profile of the Brain Tumour Charity and raise money for more research so that a cure can be found.
Do encourage other people to walk with us or donate. Els loved big parties, she would be thrilled we are organising this.
