In memory of John Beard
St John's Hospice in Balby, Doncaster has been looking after people at the end of their lives for over 31 years and every penny donated to our fundraising campaign goes towards enabling us to go above and beyond for our patients and families.

Story

Our wonderful Husband, Dad and Grandad sadly fell to sleep one last time on 24.03.2024.

He faced cancer with courage, resilience and strength and never lost that sense of humour, pretty much how he lived all of his life.

To quote, he was a man that always gave but never asked for anything in return and this was evident in his charitable work. Always wanting to make a difference to others, despite his own challenges.

In his memory, we are asking for donations in lieu of flowers to help St John's Hospice with the invaluable work they do in Palliative Care.

Rest Easy Dad, you are so missed 💙

Your generous donations by way fundraising activities and legacies, fund initiatives to improve the environment and facilities within our Hospice services.

Every day, our work directly impacts Doncaster patients, their families and friends and the staff who care for them. Your donations fund ideas and projects, above and beyond routine NHS funding to enable outstanding care to improve their lives and those in the wider community.

Thank you for choosing to support St John's Hospice Charity.
