Story
Can you find it in your hearts to help a lost little Sparrow? This tiny kitten was found injured with no sight of mum or littermates anywhere nearby… abandoned and alone at an abattoir.
Sparrow’s eye has sustained trauma from an unknown incident and without knowing how long she has been in such pain, we took her straight to the vets to receive the care and treatment she urgently needed.
At the vets, it was confirmed she will need an operation to remove the eye, which at only 340g is risky for such a tiny kitten.
Just out of her operation and now in the expert hands of our Volunteer Welfare Officer, Sparrow is being hand reared and delicately cared for to give her the best chance at a successful recovery.
We anticipate with the cost of surgery, treatment and ongoing care, the expense for our small volunteer led branch, will be around £2,000 to help Sparrow get fighting fit for the life she deserves.
We receive no government funding and rely heavily on kind members of the public to help our work. No gift is too large or small and every penny makes a difference to the lives of cats in our care. If we are fortunate enough to raise above our target, all extra donations will go towards the care of other cats that need it.
Thank you for your care and continued support <3
