Story

To mark my big birthday at the end of October, I'm running 10 miles in this year's Great South Run to raise money for the Portsmouth & East Hampshire branch of Samaritans with whom I've been a volunteer for several years.

The branch receives over 25,000 calls a year from people from all walks of life who need support. It also does outreach work with Network Rail, veterans, prisons and schools.

It's all run by volunteers and is completely self-funding.

If you're able to sponsor me, that would be great. Any donation, however small, is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
