Story
On 7th May 2023, Archie’s brother Oscar, and Archie’s best friend Finley, will be taking part in the Lidl Mudder (a 1 mile tough mudder course for kids). This is all in memory of Archie and to raise money for Solving Kids Cancer, a charity very close to our hearts.
Archie died just before his third birthday in June 2018 at Great Ormond Street Hospital with his Mummy and Daddy lying in bed with him, holding his little hands. They read him his two favourite bedtime stories and at the end he opened his eyes, they squeezed his hands, told him they loved him and he just stopped breathing.
Archie was diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer just after his 2nd birthday. At diagnosis, scans showed that it was in all the long bones in his body, his skull and his bone marrow, and he was given a 50% chance of survival.
Solving Kids Cancer supported Archie and his family like no other charity. His Mummy is now a trustee, and together we are fighting for a future where no child dies from neuroblastoma or suffers due to its treatment. No child should suffer the way these children do. We need kinder, more effective treatment and we need your help to do this. Please sponsor Oscar and Finley to help us achieve this.
Archie was the most remarkable little boy hilariously funny, kind, absolutely beautiful and brave far beyond his years. His Grandad always described him as a masterpiece - he was right. Such an extraordinary little boy, that the world never got to know. But we will change the world because of him.
