Story

In the summer of 2025, I’ll embark on an extraordinary challenge: cycling The Route, where a team of amateur female cyclists will tackle every stage of the 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift (TdFFAZ), just one day ahead of the professionals.

As you all know, I love cycling and spending a day or two riding my bike in the sunshine is joyous. However, this is not a day or two. This is not guaranteed sunshine. In fact, with 2 flat, 3 hilly, 2 medium mountain and 2 high mountain days, the 9 stages are designed to put the very best cyclists in the world to the test. It will be my biggest challenge to date, covering over 1100km/700 miles with an elevation gain of over 17000m/56,000 feet. That’s like riding from London to Edinburgh, and back, while climbing Everest….. twice!

Our epic journey isn’t just about pushing physical limits—it’s about making a difference. We are fundraising for Cure Leukaemia, the official UK charity partner of the TdFFAZ. Blood cancer is the most common cancer in children and teenagers and, in the UK, four children are diagnosed every single day. Cure Leukaemia are funding a the revolutionary ATICUS Network, a dedicated paediatric trials network which will deliver world-class, innovative clinical trials to improve outcomes for children with blood cancer undergoing a stem cell transplant throughout the UK.

Please support me, to support them!
