On Friday, 25th April, Jay and I will be running around the perimeter of Lake Como which is 100 miles, in memory of my Mum and to raise money and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer.
In December, my Mum was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Just 9 and a half weeks later, we lost her. Despite her illness, Mum remained strong and kind, always facing her challenges with a smile. She underwent numerous tests to uncover the cause of her symptoms, but it wasn't until a CT scan that we discovered the devastating news.
Mum was an incredible woman—loving, caring, and resilient. She was my biggest supporter, from watching the Hardest Geezer run across Africa together to cheering me on during my first marathon in London. I know that as I take on this challenge, she will be looking down, cheering me on every step of the way.
This run is not just a tribute to Mum but also a way to raise awareness and funds for Pancreatic Cancer research. This Cancer takes so many lives too soon, and we need better ways to detect and treat it early.
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a difference and means the world to us!
Thank you for your support.
Miss and love you loads, Mum! xx
