The Brain Tumour Charity's Brighton Marathon team are ready to run towards a better future for everyone diagnosed with a brain tumour. We can't wait to take on the 26.2 mile course through the streets of Brighton on Sunday 6th April 2025.

Story

My name is Laila and on the 6th April 2025 I will be running my first marathon to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity in loving memory of my best friend Ellie Watts. Ellie was first diagnosed with a low grade Brain tumour in August 2022. When Ellie was first diagnosed, she had surgery on the 4th August 2022 to remove the tumour and made a full recovery. Unfortunately, in October 2023 she was taken into hospital and was diagnosed with severe hydosephilis. We then tragically lost Ellie on the 8th October 2023 at 19 years of age. I’m sure I can speak for anyone who knew Ellie when I say that Ellie was the kindest and most selfless person that we knew. Ellie was truly the bestest friend anyone could ever ask for and I feel so proud to call her my best friend. All donations are greatly appreciated and thank you to everyone for supporting me on this journey 🩷
