Story
Hey everyone,
I’m running a half marathon in Oxford to raise money for SSNAP, a charity that’s so close to my heart. They support premature babies and their families, and I’m doing this to honour my little sister, Maisie.
Maisie was born at just 24 weeks, weighing only 650g. Her chances of survival were tiny—just 24 hours. She stopped breathing twice, battled industrial TB that caused her lung to collapse, and then went through swine flu and countless infections. She spent most of her early life in and out of hospital, fighting for every breath. But through it all, she kept going. Despite everything, here she is, nearly 11 years old, still defying all the odds. She has one lung and a heart full of determination—and nothing, absolutely nothing, stops her from living life to the fullest. She’s my biggest inspiration, and I’m so proud to call her my sister.🩷
I’m running this race to help other families going through similar struggles. If you can, please consider donating to this amazing charity. Every penny helps them support premature babies and their families during the toughest times.
Thank you to anyone who donates, it is truly appreciated. And Maisie moo, I love you to the moon and back. 🩷
