Story

My son, Lachlan, would have been turning 21 this year and I'm marking the occasion by ticking off a long term goal of mine to run the London Marathon this April. At 194cm and 100kg, I'm built for comfort rather than speed, but that's not going to stop me. Shooting Star Children's Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families across Surrey and London.Whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months or years, they are there to make every moment count. They support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care. And they are indispensable to those going through the most unimaginable experience. Please hug your kids ever harder and make a donation in Lachlan's memory.
