Story
The Wales Air Ambulance Charity provides advanced life-saving emergency care for everyone in Wales, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a ‘mobile emergency department’ that relies entirely on donations to keep our helicopters in the air and rapid response vehicles on the road.
Your donations will help keep this vital service in Wales.
In October 2022, Ioan suffered a fall outside his house, landing on his head and suffering a very severe traumatic brain injury. The Air Ambulance arrived and worked hard to save Ioan's life before he was transferred to hospital.
After 3 weeks in a coma, and emergency brain surgery, Ioan began his slow recovery, learning to walk, talk and do almost everything he could do before his accident. He worked so hard and after 3 months in hospital, he came home to continue his recovery.
A traumatic brain injury is a lifelong condition and the Child Brain Injury trust have supported Ioan, his family, school and friends throughout this incredibly difficult time.
Ioan wants to say thank you to these two charities by raising as much money as he can!
So on August 31st, he will set out to climb Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales. He will be joined by lots of his friends and family and is very excited for the challenge.
Please support them if you can. Thank you!
