On the 25th May 2025 I will be running my first ever half marathon in the hope of raising funds for the Sunrise Centre in Cornwall, a service that goes above and beyond to support people through extremely difficult times.

“The Sunrise Centre at Royal Cornwall Hospital is home to the Radiotherapy Service and Oncology Services. Our dedicated and highly skilled team care for patients receiving cancer treatment in Cornwall.

Everyone in the Sunrise Centre wants patients to receive the very best care, at what can be a very difficult time for them and those closest to them. The Sunrise Centre /Clinical Oncology Fund allows us to go beyond what NHS funding alone can provide.

With your support, we can:

- Enhance the physical environment to create a feeling of calm.

- Purchase advanced equipment.

- Facilitate staff training that goes above and beyond the statutory provision.

- We also buy things such as child support packs for children of different ages whose parents are undergoing cancer treatment

Donations to our charitable fund are used carefully for the ultimate benefit of patient care.
