Story
15 of our colleagues from Operations are taking on the National 3 Peaks Challenge in aid of Carer's UK!
Our team will undertake 3000m of ascent across a 26-mile route including 2x 5 hours drives, all within 24 hours and likely with little to no sleep. This event will be a very physical and taxing endurance challenge and is all in aid of a great charity.
Our team will travel to Fort William to start their trek early morning at Ben Nevis on Saturday 31 August. They will climb Scafell Pike that night and finish with Snowdon in Wales on Sunday 1 September. Our aim is to complete the event in 24 hours therefore, Ben Nevis will need to be completed in 5½ hours, Scafell Pike in 4½ hours and Snowdon in 4 hours which is no mean feat.
Phoenix are developing a new social impact programme, with a focus on aligning our activity to our purpose which will allow us to have a positive impact. Our vision is to help all people on the journey to and through retirement, with our identified mission through our new social partnership programme to enable carers to balance both love and money so that they can care for loved ones, without compromising their financial futures. Throughout the social initiative, we will be working closely with Carers UK. Carers UK’s vision is to make life better for carers, however and whenever caring affects people. Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of carers and their loved ones.
