On Saturday 12th April, at the final game of the season, CRFC player Kurt Heatherley has amazingly agreed to shave his head in order to raise essential funds for our charity. And if you see his hair - you will know this is a big deal! ✂️🪮

Former Auckland and Australian and top 14 ASM 7's player 🏉Kurt joined the Canterbury Senior Squad ahead of the new season in September 2024 and now is looking to make waves...or should that be 'shaves' off the pitch too!

In recognition of his charitable pledge - in losing his super impressive mane - we are asking for donations to our charity, and for those willing to donate £100 or more they will have the opportunity to be part of 'The Big Shave' on the day. 🙏

Donations with a Difference is a wholly volunteer-led charity raising money for families and individuals who need support across Kent. We work to alleviate the constraints of physical impairment and improve the lives of those who have been challenged by health issues, as well as those who find themselves vulnerable or homeless.

Our aim is to enhance quality of life by responding to the many grant applications we receive. Some applications are for high price tag items like specialist medical equipment, others are for relatively small, but impactful additions to family life, such as a child’s car seat or buggy. We also collaborate with other local charities, community initiatives and educational establishments where the benefit of our donation is far-reaching and shared by so many.

In our 10 years, we have raised in the region of a quarter of a million pound, with every penny going directly to help others. It is through the kind generosity and support of individuals and local businesses that we are able to make a difference to the lives of so many people.
