Story
I'm taking part in this years Big PNE Sleep Out, with the aim to raise funds for the Foxton Centre. This means I will be sleeping outside in the elements at Preston North End, with just a sleeping bag and a piece of cardboard (kindly donated by The Cardboard Box Company). This is no easy feat, as it involves two things I dislike, the cold and PNE!
The good news is, I have the choice to sleep rough for this event, and the night after I will have all my home comforts around me again. This is unlike the people the Foxton Centre help, who find themselves sleeping on the streets every night, with no option to go somewhere warm and dry.
This is a fantastic charity, which offers much needed support, so please dig deep and help Foxton reach their goal.
The Foxton Centre provides support and services for rough sleepers here in the city of Preston. We also run youth clubs and community services from our centre in Avenham. The charity also works with women street sex workers. Established in 1969, The Foxton Centre is one of the citys longest established charities.
