Story
As I am the living donor coordinator for the family and friends of paediatric renal patients under the care of Evelina and Southampton Children’s Hospitals, I will be raising money for Evelina Children’s Hospital so the paediatric team can use this to help their patients watch and participate in the UK Transplant Games (Fund Code: G0350).
About the events:
The first (some of you may know) is the Ride London event which goes from central London out through the Essex countryside and towns and back into central to finish on Tower Bridge (26/05/24). More info here: Routes confirmed for 2024 Ford RideLondon-Essex as 100-day countdown begins - RideLondon . Current weather forecast for Sunday – WET ☹
The second is a fun charity cycle organised by the paediatric team at Evelina where we cycle all the way from Evelina Children’s Hospital to Southampton Children’s Hospital through the Hampshire countryside (29/06/24).
I have done both in the past and thoroughly enjoyed them.
Lastly, if anyone wishes to join us in the Evelina Charity cycle on the 29th June, please do get in touch and I can forward on the organiser’s details. It really is a great day out.
The route takes in some very pretty countryside with a couple of stops at around 40 and 75 miles (so if you want to do it but not the whole thing then that is also totally fine too!). It’s very relaxed and great fun. The groups are mixed up so that everyone goes at a pace that they are comfortable with.
I appreciate you reading this (if you got this far) and hope to receive a very small amount of your hard earned cash soon for this wonderful cause! 😊
