Glossop Mountain Rescue Team is 100% run and operated by dedicated volunteers who have been providing a rescue role for more than 65 years – available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

💰We’re raising money to help towards buying vital drysuits, boots, and PFDs (personal flotation devices). We're hoping to raise at least £1,100 which enable the team to buy a full set of aquatic safety gear💰

The capability to respond to flooding and incidents involving water is increasing every year and the Glossop team are also part of a nationwide initiative that means members of the team can be sent to support other areas in flood, or with other serious incidents involving water (for example the Dam at Whaley bridge that became damaged a few years ago).

💚The Mountain Rescue Team is almost totally funded by the local community and they wouldn’t be able to respond to emergencies without your hugely appreciated donations!! 💚
