Story
I’ve been waiting 5 years for the perfect opportunity to raise money for a cause very close to my heart. This year I’ve finally found some courage to challenge myself physically and mentally to take on the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge for the Neonatal units at Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General hospital.
On 15th November 2017 I gave birth to my little ray of sunshine at 30 weeks weighing 3.28lbs. I will forever be in debt to the doctors and nurses for the care and support we both received for the first 5 weeks of his life in both hospitals and once we got him home.
A little about the challenge:
The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge - Starting and ending in Horton-in-Ribblesdale you take in 3 of the best known peaks in Yorkshire; Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m).
Total Distance – 37km/24miles
Ascent: 1381m/4531ft
Target time: 12 hours
The smallest gift really can help so please support my fantastic fundraiser and help me raise as much money as possible for the Neonatal units at the LRI & Leicester General hospital.
