Sadaqah Jariyah on behalf of my late beloved Father 🖤

Ramadan was my fathers favourite time of the year for as long as I’ve known. Before Ramadan even started he would start prepping, by stocking up on food, sharing dates with families and making sure all of his family was taken care of. He would be the one calling mine and my siblings names from the bottom of the stairs to wake us up for suhoor so we could all eat together. His days off work we would all break fast, eat and as soon as it was time, he would rush to Isha/Taraweeh salah just so he could find a space in line to read behind the Imam. My father was a pious, soft spoken, patient and a one of a kind person. So what a better way of honouring him than to hold a Charity Bake sale in the Holy month of Ramadan where all proceedings will go to charity on behalf of him.

The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) said, Who so ever feeds a fasting person will have the reward of the fasting person without his rewards being reduced. Being inspired from this saying of our beloved prophet (pbuh), each year we have delivered a number of Ramadan Food Pack Distributions to impoverished communities. As a result, families can channel their energy into self-reflection or earning a living, rather than where their next meal is going to come from. Food packages contain essential ingredients such as rice, flour, lentils, oil, sugar, salt and powdered milk.
