Story

On the 4th - 7th January 2024 my sister in law (Lorna) and I are taking part in a running event called the 'Dopey Challenge' at Walt Disney World in Florida!

The Dopey Challenge involves running 48.6 miles over the 4 day running event as follows:

4th Jan - 5k

5th Jan -10k

6th Jan Half Marathon

7th Jan Full Marathon.

This will be my first marathon so training is in full swing!

I am the manager of Duckyls Farm Centre . Duckyls Farm Centre is a residential care home for 8 wonderful adults with learning disabilities; we also have 100 acres of land and look after goats, sheep and rabbits, as well as growing our own vegetables in the allotment garden.

I would like to raise money towards a summer house in the allotment garden at Duckyls Farm so that residents can enjoy a drink and rest in comfort in between the gardening.

The residents and staff at Duckyls Farm Centre are keen to support my training and have decided to walk my total running distance (48.6miles) by walking to the garden and back. Residents and staff will walk a total of 10 laps each!

I will keep you updated with our progress!
