Story
For those of you that haven’t heard I will be running the 2024 London Marathon in memory of a lady I sadly never got the pleasure of meeting.
Joe’s mum, Dawn passed away on Christmas Day 2013… 10 years ago this year after battling a brain tumour.
Even though I never got to meet her, all I have heard is how loving, caring and selfless she was, all the qualities and love and see in Joe everyday.
The charity I am supporting is Marie Curie who were amazing and helped care for Dawn in her last few months. As well as support Joe and his family through this incredibly tough time, whilst still trying to keep a busy dairy farm afloat.
Marie Curie is the UK’s leading end of life charity and help over 40,000 terminally ill people every year. All the money that is raised helps Marie Curie Nurses provide vital care and support to people with terminal illness, and their families at the toughest time.
Dawn, I am doing this for you, thank you for raising such a loving, caring, hard working man that I love so much and feel incredibly lucky to have found again. (We went to school together)
Joe and I would really appreciate any donations no matter how small for this amazing charity. ❤️ Thank you.
