Story
This year marks a significant journey of pushing my limits and embracing challenges. As I write this in mid-February, I have already dedicated seven weeks to running through all weather conditions, including a grueling two hours and fifteen minutes in the wind and rain. My determination to raise funds for vital causes drives me forward, and the support from friends, family, and colleagues will be the fuel that keeps me going.
On April 6th, 2025, I will be participating in the Brighton Marathon. After a couple of years away from serious running, this training has been tough but rewarding. My goal is to complete the marathon in 4 hours and 15 minutes—an ambitious target considering my previous marathon time was 4 hours and 28 minutes. However, I believe that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.
Once I cross the finish line at the marathon, my journey continues as I prepare to ride 220km through the stunning hills of The Lakes. This ride is part of 'Pedalling to Pubs 2025,' organized by fellow hospitality professionals to support two incredible charities: The Licensed Trade Charity and Only A Pavement Away. These organizations are essential for providing support and opportunities to vulnerable individuals within our industry who face challenges such as poverty and homelessness.
Additionally, my participation in the Brighton Marathon is dedicated to The Hospice in the Weald—a charity that provided compassionate care for a dear friend's husband last year.
I am reaching out with an urgent ask: please consider supporting my fundraising efforts with a donation towards my target of £2,000. Your generosity will not only motivate me during these challenging events but also make a meaningful impact on those who rely on these vital services.
