Story
At the end of 2023 my family received some heartbreaking news, my brother Harry was diagnosed with cancer specifically sarcoma which is a rare and aggressive type of cancer. This absolutely broke my family and more importantly Harry, who is one of the most physically and mentally fit person we know. Harry is the strongest person, even before everything that he has been through over the past couple of months. A true inspiration to me and everyone around him. Harry was transferred to The Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital where he received treatment immediately due to the cancer being so aggressive, due to the cancer having already spread to his lungs. The Royal Marsden Hospital has been the biggest blessing for Harry and my family. They are saving Harry’s life, me and my family couldn’t be more grateful. The work they do at this hospital is truly incredible, the support they give to their patients as well as family members is amazing. As a family these past months have honestly been the most heartbreaking and challenging to date. I can’t even begin to explain how grateful I am to all the Doctors and Nurses at the Royal Marsden as well as the support workers who are helping Harry & his family get through this difficult battle. Harry has a long road ahead of him but with the help of this hospital and his own fighting spirit I have no doubt that he will come out the strongest version of himself. I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital for all the work they are doing to help my brother.
