Story

Kishori was a 21 year old girl at the prime of her life. She had spent her past year all over the world, skiing in Grenoble and partying in Valencia. She was travelling in South America as a final hurrah on her year abroad before returning to University in Nottingham in September. She spent the final two weeks of her life taking on Colombia single handedly, bungee jumping and paragliding (courageously overcoming her fear of heights) and was literally having the time of her life. She was such a whirlwind of energy, love and passion.Everyone Kishori met found her thoughtful, empathetic and warm and she was so so loved.

She suffered an anaphylactic response to something she ate and never came home. This year marks her 30th birthday and Sarah, Russel, Isaac, her brother Jashan and I will honour her memory by attempting to do this challenging walk with The Good Grief Project.

Approximately 6000 young people under the age of 24 die in the UK every year leaving up to 50,000 newly bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents. Our mission is to support families grieving after the untimely death of a loved one, particularly the death of a child. We do this by encouraging a creative response to grief and by looking for new ways of expressing the pain of loss with various art forms and media.
