Story
My beautiful friend, Abigail-Bulman Hook, at the age of 28, sadly gained her wings after an 18 month battle with breast cancer. For those that had the pleasure of knowing Abbie, would agree that she was kind, caring, loving and beautiful, inside and out. I have never met or will never meet anyone like Abbie, she will forever be in my heart ❤️
Abbie was cared for by the Teenage and Young Adult Unit (TYA) at Castle Hill Hospital in Hull. Abbie received the most amazing care, from the start, right through to the very end. The staff were with Abbie during her highs and lows, even treating Abbie as one of their own. The staff are absolutely amazing and I will forever be grateful as a friend for the care they provided to Abbie.
I have decided for my birthday, the big 30, I would like to do a sky dive. This is something I have always wanted to do but its never really something I have gone ahead with. I then thought, why not try raise some money for a charity that provide the best care they possibly can, which I know Abbie felt very strongly about.
Abbie has given me strength, motivation and determination to live life to its fullest, have no regrets and a new perspective which I never really paid much attention to ‘you only live once’.
I am super proud of Abbie, how much strength she had throughout her battle, knowing what she knew and she carried on fighting. Abbie always took pride in how she looked and i still remember going out for tea and before I arrived receiving a message from her saying ‘please don’t judge how much of a mess I look right now’. Only Abbie could worry about such a thing when she was dealing with this awful disease. This was Abbie and this is why I loved Abbie, so much 💕
I would be forever grateful for any donations you can make for such an amazing trust and the care they provide for the unfortunate young people suffering with this awful disease. No matter how small, any donations would be much appreciated.
This is for you Abbie 💕💪🏼
