Story
On Sunday 21st April 2024, I will be attempting to run the TCS London Marathon in aid of Isabel Hospice.
If you know me you will know I am not a runner, in fact I would go as far to say I hate running! However I am going to try my best with this challenge and I will be thinking of lovely Michelle, her mum and the rest of her family along the way.
After being given a terminal cancer diagnosis, Michelle's mum was sent home to live out her final days surrounded by her family. When things began deteriorating quickly the family were struggling to cope and this was when the support of Isabel Hospice became invaluable. They provided round the clock at home care, meaning the family could focus on being with their mum and not on dealing with her physical needs. The staff that went to the house were wonderful and quickly became a huge emotional support for the family. And as their Mum headed into her final hours, the nurses made sure the family were aware so that they could make sure everyone important was with her at the end.
Isabel Hospice were truly amazing and all money raised will enable them to help other families in their hardest moments.
If you could spare a couple of quid for this fantastic cause it would be massively appreciated.
Love
