Story
Billie, Kim and Sarah are all trekking to Petra 17th-24th November, fundraising for St Catherine's Hospice.
We have all been touched by the care that St Catherine's has provided for our family, friends and loved ones - in particular:
Martin - Kim's partner
Martin was a strong yet gentle character - the sort of person you'd want around, a pillar of strength and love.
Marian - Sarah's mum
Grace - Billie's grandmother
Kim has signed up as flexi, meaning fundraising half (£1,490) and paying half herself. Having a target in mind is really helpful to aim for!
Sarah and Billie are self-funding their trip, so are paying our own trip costs - meaning every donation given to us goes directly to St Catherine's.
St Catherine's Hospice cares for local people at the end of their lives in Surrey and Sussex, and supports those closest to them. Every step taken by our hospice heroes on their journey to Petra will help the hospice be there for local people and those close to them when life comes full circle.
Our Trek to Petra will take our team on an adventure following an ancient Bedouin migration route to Petra, experiencing some of the most spectacular natural scenery in Jordan along their journey. This trek is voted by National Geographic as one of the worlds best hikes and it is growing a reputation as the Inca Trail of the Middle East. Our team will be covering up to 10 miles a day over 5 consecutive days of walking and challenging terrain.
Please support our trekkers and help the hospice be there for local people and those close to them when life comes full circle.
