Story
As many of you know, I lost my beautiful mum to bowel cancer in February 2022 after she suffered almost 2 years with this horrific illness.
It is still very difficult to comprehend my life without her - she wasn’t just my mum, she was my best friend. The most loving, courageous, brave woman I have ever known. Anyone that had the privilege of knowing her, knew how special she was.
I will forever be in awe of how she dealt with her illness. She remained so positive and always saw the sunshine beyond the rain. Her spirit kept us going and continues to keep us going when it feels so dark without her.
I am determined to do all I can to support those living with this disease and to do so in her memory. I’m hoping if I can manage a Kiltwalk and Ben Nevis then I can do this. I will be doing this walk with my partner, Arron and my dad. Words cannot express my gratitude to either of them for the support they give me daily!
With that said, I would be so grateful if you could donate what you can to help me reach my goal.
Charities such as Marie Curie provide invaluable support to people with this ghastly illness and their families.
On the 5 July 2025 our incredible team will take on an 11 mile or 22 mile trail across a section of this world famous landmark, built to guard the North West frontier of the Roman Empire. Skirting the Northumberland National Park, Hadrian's Wall is just under an hour from the vibrant city of Newcastle, home to a Marie Curie Hospice.
Beat the Trails for Marie Curie and help people get the best care possible, to the end.
All the money raised will help Marie Curie provide vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness, and their families at the toughest time.
£3 helps fund a meal for a patient in one of our hospices.
