We want to identify early symptoms of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, we currently do this through our small grant scheme. This campaign is aimed at raising funds to support more research into psoriatic disease.

Story

12 months ago Jack was diagnosed with Psoriatic arthritis completely out of the blue due to the stress of exams and catching covid. Finally after many hospital appointments he is now on immunosuppressive medication and Biological treatments to try and slow down the progression of his disease that is currently affecting his foot, hands and spine.

Every day is like a marathon for Jack dealing with all his treatments and extreme fatigue yet he still puts a smile on his face and carries on without much fuss dispite his pain.

Both conditions are long-term and can get worse over time, though treatments can relieve the symptoms and slow down disease progression. Although much is known about psoriatic disease, more research is needed. By supporting PAPAA you can help them in their goal to help people affected by psoriatic disease to have appropriate care to understand the causes and eventually find a cure.
