Story
This March, we have challenged ourselves to take on HYROX Glasgow to help raise money for people living with cancer.
HYROX combines both running & functional workout stations, where participants run 1km, followed by 1 functional workout station, repeated eight times.
As many of you may know, in July 2024, my big sister and Ross’s wife, Natalie, was diagnosed with Appendiceal Cancer and within minutes our whole world was flipped upside down.
Appendix cancer is a very rare type of cancer that affects about 1-2 people per million per year. The treatment options are quite drastic due to the nature of this cancer and she is now 3 surgeries down and half way through her chemotherapy. It has been quite the journey over the past several months as I’m sure you can imagine and throughout it all Natalie has been so strong and positive despite a few unexpected “bumps” along the road. Myself and Natalie were due to race Hyrox doubles in Dublin last November but we’ve postponed our sister duo race for a later date so stay tuned!
This March, I’ve teamed up with my brother in law, Ross, for a mixed doubles pairing to go out and smash it, raise lots of money for Macmillan and raise some awareness around Appendix Cancer too!
We’d be so so grateful if you could help us reach our £800 pledge! Even if you are unable to donate if you could share our page we would really appreciate it!
Thank you!
