Story
We love a good cause here in Kilmore Quay and they don't come much better than the local RNLI station. The RNLI volunteers put themselves out all year round, so we have decided to come together and put ourselves out by dipping ourselves (even if it's just the toes!) into the Irish Sea 20 times during December - and 10 dips for Children.
For each adult willing to join us we are asking for a donation of €20 and for each child (only if they will be accompanied by and adult) a donation of €10.
For anyone who thinks we are mad, but would like to support us, any donations are very gratefully received.
All monies raised will go directly to Kilmore Quay RNLI Station. Our RNLI lifeboats in Ireland protect hundreds of communities through our 24-hour search and rescue service. They rely on the safest, most reliable lifeboats and modern stations to launch from.
Irelands unrivalled coasts and inland waters are valued by local communities and visitors alike, with millions travelling to enjoy them, and work on them each year. But the water remains an unpredictable environment that can catch people out. People will always need our help and we will always be there to answer that call.
