Story
Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
From the 26th August to the 3rd September the three of us will be attempting to summit the highest peak on the African continent. In doing so, we are hoping to raise awareness and support for the efforts of Oracle Head and Neck Cancer UK.
As the UK's leading Head and Neck Cancer charity, they work tirelessly to improve patient outcomes for those diagnosed with head and neck cancer by providing support and funding for research programmes, raising awareness and by addressing growing healthcare inequalities.
On a more personal level, myself and my sister have grown up watching the efforts of our uncle, Prof. Mark McGurk, help to establish and grow this incredible initiative. We have read and listened to the stories of cancer survivors and have been humbled by their experiences and the resilience they, and their families have shown.
We encourage everyone to take the time to read or listen to some of these stories themselves in the hope that this may raise awareness and understanding of the symptoms to look out for; but also the support networks that are available and the next steps.

We hope that in completing this climb, we may play a small part in improving patient outcomes for those faced with Head and Neck Cancer, and ask that anyone who is able to, please donate whatever amount they can to this cause.
Regards,
Callum, Henry & Josie
