Story

On 7th April 2024, I will participate in the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise funds for Rethink Mental Illness.

I am running this half marathon to help Rethink Mental Illness continue their mission of improving the lives of those affected by severe mental health issues. They aim to provide vital services such as support groups and educational resources for individuals and families affected by mental illness.

I am running in memory of my dear friend Charles Tiger Kelleway, who committed suicide on 25th April 2023. We became close at school, spending five years together and much time in the same classes. Tiger was very intelligent, charming and charismatic (especially to the girls), lighting up every room he was in. We had endless heated discussions and too many laughs to count. My favourite memory was his 'prom'posal to me in Maths class, which was very cheesy but spot on.

After school, his mental health declined greatly. There are many things I wish I could have said or done, but that is not important. I hope that Tiger is now at peace.

This is difficult for me to write about, so the article below shares more on Tiger's story:

Every donation, even £1, counts towards my goal of reaching £1000 to support this important charity.

I miss you Tiger, and think about you all the time x
