Running from home to the Marsden 10 times to celebrate 10 years with T4 cancer, 6 November 2024
We fund life-saving research to help cancer patients everywhere.

Story

On the 6th November 2014 I was told that I have T4 advanced prostate cancer and may only live 2 years, 3 or 4 if I was lucky.

Here I am 10 years on, way past my use by date, having run over 16,000 miles in places like the Sahara, the Arctic, Cambodia, Jordan, Iceland etc etc always fundraising and maybe inspiring?

To celebrate my 10 year cancerversarie I will be attempting to run/walk from my home to the Royal Marsden Hospital and back 10 times in under 24 hours totalling about 80 miles. That's one lap for every year and each lap will be dedicated to a year of my life plus a different department of the amazing Marsden from cleaners to oncologists.

The funds will go to support all cancers that the hospital treats as I know of so many men and women who have been treated there and sadly too many who they were unable to save. your help however will make a difference.

I would love as many people as possible to sponsor me just £10, thats £1 for every year I have lived (you can of course give more but £10 is just fine) as I know many of you have sponsored me before and there are so many good causes out there.

Some friends will be joining me on this challenge starting mid day 5th November ending by mid day 6th. It will no doubt be cold, wet, windy and for much of it dark and I promise you 80 miles is no mean feat, in fact I have never gone that far outside a race ever before in one go. There is no guarantee I will finish but like all things in life it’s about starting off and doing your best !
