Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2022, what I thought was a harmless lump on my shoulder turned out to be a cancerous tumour. In 2023 I discovered I was diabetic. In 2024 I'm paying back the luck I had to have both of those things diagnosed quickly and treated properly. Lots of people go through them, but not everyone has the good fortune to be surrounded by the right people and services to get to grips with them and keep moving forward. I owe my life and health to lots of people, Edel, my family and friends, and a host of medical professionals. I am extremely privileged to have all those things available to me and I could not have asked more of any of them.

I am going to ask more of myself though. In order to pay that luck back, I'm going to spend 2024 doing as much as I can to raise funds for two organisations doing tireless, vital work to help those in need, Diabetes Ireland The Irish Cancer Society.
