Story
Dave and I have been great friends since joining the same football team as youngsters many years ago. We are not getting any younger and was looking for a new challenge to focus the mind and keep fit. We are part of a team of two taking on Race the Sun Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) for children's charity Action Medical Research. Couldn’t get much bigger!
On the 21st June we will be setting off at sunrise to bike, hike and paddle around a challenging course in a race against the sun.
Detials below
36 Mile Bike Ride around Breaon Beacons
9.6 Mile Circular Hike to the summit of Pen Y Fan, altitude 886m
2.0 Mile Canoe journey around Pontsticill Reservoir.
We are racing in aid of children's charity, Action Medical Research. They have spent over 70 years funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.
By supporting our team you will be helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.
Thank you so much for your support.
