Story
Now that the cycling challenge is complete, and my running trainers are back out, I’ve decided to take on a new challenge and something that is way out of my comfort zone 🏊🏼♂️ (you may start to spot a bit of a theme here 😂)
Taylor, a cracking lad, is doing a great job of continuing to challenge himself and continuing his Dad’s legacy; whilst raising money for several great causes, has recently completed the St Helens 10k and on Sunday 21st April, Taylor will also take on the London Marathon.
In between those two races, I’m going to swim a marathon… 26.2 miles or 42’195 kilometres.
Now since the new year, and re-joining the gym, I’ve decided to do a bit of swimming… I am turning 40 this year after all 😩. My longest swim before starting this was 1000m. Yesterday, day 1 of the challenge (Monday 4th March) I swam a mile (1600m)!!
Monday 4th March -> Saturday 20th April is 48 days. I’ve got a 6 day break in Barcelona and Perpignan to look forward to, supporting the mighty Saints, so the challenge is pretty straightforward, equal my longest swim, everyday, until Taylor gets down to London 😬 No problem 😂🤦🏼♂️🤞
Yet again, I’d be hugely grateful for any support with this as everything I raise will go directly to Taylor who is hoping to raise £15’000 in total!!
If you’re able to donate £2, £5, £10 or anything you can afford, please help me to help Taylor achieve his target 🙏
