Story
This May/June I'll be attepting to walk 300 miles in 10 days, more than 10 marathons back to back! Carrying everything I need on my back, tent, food and my spare pants!
This coming Saturday evening I'll be travelling to Penzance to start my trek and attempt to walk all the way home along the south west coastal path to near Taunton in Somerset.
With nearly 60,000 feet of ascent, and averaging 30 miles per day, this won't be easy!
Over the past few years two of my family members have received a Cancer diagnosis, as unfortunately some of us may in our lifetimes. For this reason I have chosen the charity Hope for Tomorrow. A charity providing mobile treatment vehicles up and down the country, allowing patient, like my grandmother, to receive life saving treatment close to home.
Cancer treatment causes sheer fatigue, it’s like someone has taken your batteries out. When you’re faced with a cancer diagnosis, time is crucial. How can people spend more time doing the things they love, with those they love, whilst still getting the life-saving treatment they need?
Hope for Tomorrow build and maintain mobile cancer care units, which change the lives of thousands of people suffering from cancer in England.
Will you help me drive cancer care forward?
