Story
Last year in july my sister in law was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis .we did our research etc and expected to have a few more years as a family to make the best out of the cards she was dealt. Unfortunately she passed 5 months later and as a family the was in still is very hard to take in xx.
I've decided to run the marathon for team breathe to raise awareness of this illness and raise money so research can be done so other families in the future don't have the heartache 😢 💔 we have had.
This is for you Andrea Lavelle I hope you all can support me in the journey to the finish line
3 years ago I use to get out of breathe running upstairs so this is not going to be easy I've done a couple of half marathon in the last 2 years to raise money for different charities. I don't class my self as a runner just someone that like a challenge.
1 in 5 of us will have a lung condition during our lifetime. There's a new diagnosis every minute.
I'm running The London Marathon 2023 for Asthma + Lung UK. Theyre the only UK charity that fights for everyones right to breathe. Every pound I'm able to raise will take us a step closer to a world where everyone has healthy lungs.
Just £22 allows one of Asthma + Lung UKs nurses to answer a call on the Helpline, offering potentially lifesaving advice. I'd be very grateful for any donations you could make!
