Story
The RAF gave me an amazing start to life and I will be eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to create many amazing friendships and to learn so much and do so many things...
I have a strong desire to give back and recently became a case worker for the RAF Association as a start in doing just that. When I found out about the Skydive, having vowed in the past to never exit a perfectly working plane, I decided it was time and this is another opportunity to support those who are less fortunate than me.
By helping me fundraise, you will help the charity to continue supporting serving RAF personnel, RAF veterans and their families. They benefit from a wide range of services including befriending, mental wellbeing training courses, professional childcare and training for spouses, retirement homes, bespoke casework support, and help to secure emergency grants.
One of the many welfare projects is Connections for Life. The monies we raise could help train and support a group of volunteers to make phone calls to those who are isolated or lonely, each of these volunteers could go on to offer friendship and companionship to multiple people for as long as they need it.
I fully appreciate that every cause is worthy and we can't support 'em all, but I'm asking you to forgo just one speciality coffee (other drinks also considered) and drop the equivalent into my digital charity bucket, knowing that we will have made someone's life just that little bit easier...
I'm exceptionally grateful for any support.
Thank you for supporting #TeamRAFA
