Story
On 4th May I will be running the Belfast marathon. It will be my first (and possibly my last 🤣) marathon and I wanted to make all the pain and effort over the last few long months make a slight difference.
My friend and colleague Sharon has been going through her own marathon battle the last few years as she fights ovarian cancer. She’s had an amazingly upbeat attitude but has had numerous setbacks and continues to have weekly treatment. She has had great support from Cancer Focus on Eglantine avenue in Belfast, where she’s received specialist counselling and practical help. Sharon will join some of the Cancer Focus volunteers on the day of the marathon on Ormeau road at mile 24 (boy I’ll be glad to see them!! 😅)
It would mean a lot to her, and to me, if you could support Cancer Focus and help this local charity continue to support my pal Sharon and others like her.
Thanks so much,
Kerry x
