Running a marathon has always been on my bucket list. Since turning 50 I decided to get some things ticked off that bucket list. I sometimes can have crazy ideas and thought why not go big and run 5 marathons in 5 days across Kenya? easy right?

When I heard about the work of the wildlife Rangers out there protecting wildlife it was a no brainer. Running 5 marathons in 5 days will be hard but is nothing compared to what they face every day. At least 10 rangers lose their lives working to protect Rhinos and protected species every single year. That fact really shocked me - so I signed up last September.

I've been training for the last 6 months or so and its been hard! I will be carrying all my gear - about 12kg while completing the treks in the heat and beauty of the game reserves.

I am running 230km across Kenya over five days for ForRangers and Save the Rhino International because the rangers need our help to protect rhinos.
