I (Paul Priestley) started the Forces Together Group while taking part in The Great Tommy Sleepout 2023. Taking part in the challenge in 2023 changed my life.

This page will run for one year from todays date and be reoccurring year after year.

Forces Together Group are a group of individuals that want to raise awareness and funds for the 6,000 plus homeless veterans in the UK. By attending events and spreading the word of the Great Tommy Sleep Out, will raise vital funds for RBLI to support those Veterans.

Together with just four friends who are all key members of the group, a lot of help from the amazing RBLI staff, support from other group members and of course the general public we are now raising funds for the Homeless Veterans throughout the year.

I have met people through taking that now not only friends but are family.

One of the reasons we fundraise as a group is because I don’t and no one else within the group don’t want personal recognition, there is no I in team.

We fundraise year round and along with sleeping out, pop up fundraising, walks, runs amongst many other ways we set up a modern military display at events to raise awareness and to raise funds.

With every penny raised, Royal British Legion Industries can provide safe, warm housing and ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to gain employment, regardless of health conditions or disability.

There shouldn’t be one homeless veteran on the street (unless by choice) and until our streets are clear of our veterans I will carry on raising money for the cause. The sleepout event itself runs through the month of March each year however I choose to raise funds for the cause throughout the year, year in year out.

Any donations no matter the amount are most gratefully received but as much raising funds is critical raising the awareness of the plight of our veterans is vital and money can’t buy this.

Our motto is, while their still out we are still out one out all out.
