Story
I was a bit shocked in October 2019 when I was successful in getting a ballot place for the London marathon.
A lot has happened since then. I ran (-walked) the virtual race in October 2020 and then got covid, morphing into long covid in 2021.
But here we are: April 2024 and I have my deferred spot this coming Sunday.
My training hasn’t been what it might but I’m not injured and I feel good so I’m going to give it my best shot.
This run is to say thank you again for the £2500 2020 sponsorship.
In case you didn’t get chance to sponsor me then or would like to make another small donation now that I get to do the real thing …. I have set up this just giving page.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 10,800 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.
Cystic fibrosis comes with challenges, affecting our physical health, mental wellbeing and how we choose to live our lives. But our community is uniting towards the ultimate goal of effective treatment for all.
Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the charity uniting people to stop cystic fibrosis.
