Story
Update (21/03/24):
As many of you will already know, Emma sadly passed away in March. Paul, Lewis and Isaac are requesting donations to this website in memory of Emma, instead of flowers. Please feel free to write a message as the family will take comfort from any kind words. All proceeds go to The Brain Tumour Charity.
The run is just a few days after Emma's funeral and will be a very meaningful and emotional day. However, we are comforted by the fact that Emma knew all about the run and was fully supportive of our efforts and the charity. Thank you to all those who have already contributed.
Our key message still remains the same, more funding is desperately needed to make a change so that other families do not have to go through the consequences of this dreadful disease. Only through investment will cures and kinder treatments be developed to prevent future heartache.
We will be thinking of beautiful Emma with every step.
Original Post:
We will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 7th April in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity. Many of you may know that this is a charity very close to our hearts, Last year our fabulous and much loved Sister-In-Law and Aunty, Emma, was diagnosed with an incurable cancerous brain tumour.
We believe that the only way to prevent other families from going through the heartache of a brain tumour diagnosis is through research to help find cures as well as better, kinder and more effective treatments. Brain cancer needs to be more survivable and treatments need to provide some hope.
Thank you to all those who have donated.
