I'm fundraising for the Ignite Programme because I grew up in a poor family where my parents did not have access to a full education. I managed to pass the 11+ and was fortunate to go to a grammer school. This helped me have a good education. I was the first person in my wider family group who went to university. I felt very privileged to be able to attend University. I feel this helped me in my future career development. I would like to support other young people from disadvantaged backgrounds so they can achieve their life goals.
