The RNLI Around the Mount Open Water Swim takes place on Saturday 14th September (rescheduled date). This iconic 1.5 mile open water sea swim in Mounts Bay, Cornwall goes from Marazion Beach out around the St Michaels Mount and back to the beach.

Story

The RNLI Around the Mount Open Water Swim is a one and a half mile open water sea swim around the iconic St Michaels Mount in Mounts Bay, Cornwall.

As a frequent swimmer in the sea I thought it time to give something to a charity that I hope to never have to call upon.

They do amazing work in rescuing a variety of people from hardened sailors to those who were just having a picnic on the beach and being cut off by the tides.

2024 is the 200th year anniversary of the RNLI so if you can spare a few pennies/pounds I'm sure they would be very grateful.
